When I was a kid we called it the ‘change'
Or sometimes just ‘Middle age spread'
but when just like you,
I also went through,
this passage that we ladies dread!
I always would have, a fan in my hand,
and I checked that a ‘ladies' was near.
At meetings I'd stand
dripping sweat, fan in hand
saying ‘sorry I feel a bit queer! '
I'd stand wet and tall
Pressed against a cold wall
Until all the heat had defused
Then confusion would reign
And I'd sweat all again
‘Menopause' it just gives me the blues! ! !
