Mental Exercise
Keeping the mind active,
Is a noble exercise,
But the more you think
Independently
The more you are despised.
Sad but true,
Ignorance is not new.

It is noble exercise to keep the mind active but if we think more independently we may be disdained. Ignorance bring sadness. Dear Sandra, you have astutely and nicely inscribed this theme in this poem startlingly. Thanks for sharing.10
