Migrant Worker's Misery Poem by U Win Kyi

Migrant Worker's Misery

Migrant workers come from the poor country,
to Taiwan for earning some money.
to do the job which the local boss finds nobody.
The jobs are distinguished with 3 D's,
which are Difficult, Dangerous and Dirty,
and yet in their home country, many are in waiting for this opportunity.
They have to pay the broker-fee, so hefty.
Sometimes they are cheated by con-artists who are money-hungry.
In some work places the boss is a big bully.
The female workers are harassed sexually.
But some bosses treat them brotherly or sisterly,
or fatherly or motherly if they are lucky.
Sometimes the work is so demanding and sweaty,
that it is no kidding or funny.
One day, a worker fell from height, died in a mess....so bloody.
His friends feel hurt by the biting reality.
But that doesn't make a dent to their dignity,
cos they are earning the money with honesty,
not doing robbing, stealing or burglary.
They come to here with no less love for their country,
but with more love for their family.
They are the real heroes and heroines surely.
