Misery's Ransom Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Misery's Ransom

Her body screamed louder than her lips could
Reason over took purpose
As her eyes whispered the desire that slowly became her sorrow
Hidden desires bottled within the secret stare of her eye
Kindled by the touch of her lovers skin
As she often fantasized
The slow grasp of his hands
The low sound of how her body growled the prayers she sent towards the sky
Needing to feel sensation of being wanted
Being needed
Could the skies be so cruel
Could prayers whispered so deep only be whims of lust
She'd speak only not to be heard
As her actions proved otherwise
She'd look to the stars as the moon shone bright
Magnetic was her glare to the stars
How she envied them as alast they shone their love to the heavens above
Mighty pillars that brought sense of hope
How she longed for her angels touch
Only to find the bittersweet milk of which she desired only longed for her body
But still she couldn't find a thing to watch as she finally decided to cut the TV off
