Mom You Are - Poem by Hasmukh Amathalal

Mom you are

Mom stands supreme
In our family team
Father as head
She is well read

She has inherited Kindness
Heavenly face
Godly appearance
And not at all tense

I feel bad
And remain sad
Over the plight grandparents
When politely sent (old age homes)

My eyes shower
Tears together
Fall on ground with sordid tale
Was the parent's love for sale?

I could not think
And sank
Deep into dark clouds
My voice got choked and spoke no loud

I will not praise her in open
As I have seen
Rape incidences
That loses charm and credence

In words I find lord
Connection I find in womb chord
How could life be kept continuous?
Almighty too may be feeling jealous
