Moment Frozen In Time - Poem by melanie s. jones

A wish
I blow the candles
with eyes closed
then a smile
Everything’s where it should be
The road is open
All the planets conspire to bring me good fortune
I want the world
And will have it one day

I will be loved
It’s written in the stars
My destiny will be fulfilled
Nothing can stop me
I’m sixteen
and everything is possible
