Jab tum kehtay rehtay ho
je t'aime, ich liebe dich, te quiero,
ti amo, main pyaar tuje karta hoon
mohabbat tum se ho gayi hai
kabhi thaktay nahin tum ye kehtay kehtay
halaN k aisee aur bhi baatain tum kartay ho
aur har doosri baar neeyat se kehtay ho
to fir lagta hai tu meray sir aur mal-dwaaar
k tukDay tukDay kar rahay ho
tera 'pyaar' ka shabd meray liyay sir ka dard bun jata hai:

Aur fir main apna akelapan chahti hoon
aur ek kshan bhar k liyay
duniya ki sab se saari akeli aurat
main ban-na chahti hoon.

When you've said it,
je t'aime, ich liebe dich, te quiero,
ti amo, I love you and so on,
when you've said it many times over
and many other things, and every other time
meant what you said,
meant it enough to split head and anus
for the sake of a single word:

there comes the moment when loneliness
seems, you think, best,
and for one solitary moment you'd like
to be the world's loneliest person.
