! Monuments! Poem by Rema Prasanaa

! Monuments!

Rating: 2.7

Unable to bear the wounds
of a distorted evidence sheet,
life stands as a mute victim
on a witness stand with a heart
that bleeds, in front of a stone
statue of goddess of justice,
blinded on a black satin
When shadows in black climb
on the ladder of a light house
tears roll on the judgment sheet
like a rain on a summer noon
Trials and errors continue like
day and night in earth's
confused garden of conflicts
seasons express disbelief on the
game charts of human brains
and on that judgment day life ends
as a victim of preconceived
printed format of fate line
and comrades rejoice on red flags
as they find a victim to raise
revenue for a monument...
