Morning ©

Rating: 4.5

Sitting by my window sill,
I watched the world awake,
Revelling in the darkness still,
and just for heaven's sake...

Shadows crept away to sneak
behind the trees to hide;
Morning breeze caressed my cheek,
knowing that i'd cried...

Blue marbled skies above me,
turned peach gold purple pink,
Joy filled my soul instantly,
that I could barely think...

What was this joy? The reason, I was happy as could be?
The son awoke, a beaming smile, and then it dawned on me!
