My Childhood Poem by amir mohammad islami chalandar

My Childhood

Rating: 4.1

i want to go back to my childhood

where my father was my only hero

the best caress belonged to my mother

my only apogee acme was shoulders of my father

my only enemies were my brothers and sisters

and my only pain was my injured knee

not a broken heart like these days

i used to play simple sports like soccer

with my sincere and sinless friends

but now we must play quack and fake roles

for our new tartufe and pharisee casual ones.

Your poem expresses feelings and it is good. You could try to rhyme your poems with a kind of rhythm. Keep writing, you are on your way to writing great poems.

I can identify with you. Revisiting my childhoods a favorite pastime. It gives such joy an assurance, especially in these times. A peaceful, nostalgic poem.
