My Heart Beats (For You) - Poem by Michael P. McParland
My heart beats for you my darling one,
you fill it with such brilliant light
and it amazes me just how beautiful and great you are.
My heart beats for you and they will forever beat as one.
Can you feel my heart beating just for you over there?
Can you feel all the loving admiration my heart feels?
Do you know my only one that my heart beats just for you?
You truly are a magical Angel of wonder to me,
a Queen I treasure and am in awe of in every way.
Just thinking of you my knees begin to shake and I tingle,
my heart beats for you because you are such a beautiful
amazing woman that I feel a love so true and pure for.
My heart beats for you a diamond in the rough my only lover.
My heart beats for you and desires only your arms around me,
to have another woman embrace me outside of frienship
would fill me with shame and be a betrayal to the love we carry.
My heart beats for you and you're the one it truly treasures,
I cherish you and my heart beats because I'm proud of you.
My heart beats for you and is yours and yours alone,
it won't and can't ever love another and I have no desire
to try and give myself or heart to another woman.
I feel guilty and horrible even looking at other women.
My heart beats for you and you alone because I love you more
than anyone can ever know.
You are the reason it goes on and it is yours forevermore my only one.
