My Horse Neck Driveway Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

My driveway curves like a horse neck.
Green lawn spreads along its both sides.
On one side, five trees cast their big shadows.
On the other, tree hydrangeas bloom white flowers.

On my driveway, sunshine casts patches of sunlight
Which dance along with green leaves when winds pass by
On a big tree, a pair of birds sing their songs
A squirrel jumps around with its tail dancing along.

On my bike, I ride along with my wife.
On this driveway, so many times we bike.
We watch flowers and landscape while we slowly ride
We watch floating clouds and the familiar sky.

CON ĐƯỜNG CỔ NGỰA

Đường nhà tôi cong hình cổ ngựa
Hai bên đường thảm cỏ xanh tươi
Bên này đường, năm cây che mát
Bên kia đường, bình bát trổ bông.

Rải trên đường gió lay bóng nắng
Lá xanh rung, bóng nắng vờn theo.
Trên cành cây đôi chim ca hát
Sóc chuyền cành đuôi cũng vờn theo.

Cùng vợ tôi, bao lần tôi đã
Cỡi xe đạp đường cổ ngựa quen.
Chậm đạp xe, ngắm hoa ngắm cảnh
Ngắm mây trôi cùng khoảng trời quen.
