My love for you
alternates like a dark cloud
between the Sun and rain,
its fringe lightened by rays
but center seething in futile pain;
to find a voice thro thunder
a pounding heart to lighten,
waiting for a meaningful lightning
sparks in your flinty heart to awaken;
but Time is cloaked in
misty drizzles of uncertainty
without the power or desire
to rake up new embers in vein;
my love for you sleeps like
the mythical giant Kumbhakarna
in eternal wait for the right moment
to slay the monkeys of desires mundane;
my love for you lives like a sage
on the cloud-kissed mountain
to touch clouds floating over its head
and for the rays slowly to brighten.
" my love for you…. touch(es) clouds floating over its head" beautiful ode to the Mahatma. Thank you for sharing… top
my love for you lives like a sage...I liked this but not...'my love for you sleeps like the mythical giant Kumbhakarna'

Great poem piece. Rarely I get such good poems to read here. A meaningful metaphor you employ. A great eloquent piece in dedication to Mahatma Gandhi
