My Love Is Like A Fever... Longing Still Poem by Dónall Dempsey

My Love Is Like A Fever... Longing Still

Rating: 5.0

All that long hot summer through
I shared a summer cold with you

that seemed to last forever.

Whether, sharing the same germs, dreams,
bacteria or whatever

it seemed to bind us so...very close together.

If this was love...it couldn't get no better.

And all my heart
could say

even to this day...is:

'Bless you...bless you...bless you.'

(This is one of those 'thank you for being my wife' poems.)

How absolutely gorgeous Donall! And I can't think of a better companion than Shakespeare to warm your days (with or without a cold!) .. Bless you! HG: -) xx

And to think that I look like her....I am doubly honored by what you said. Thanks, Donall Donall, for this double dip of love remembered - - it's a charmer, as is all your work!

Oh Donall! This is such a beautiful love poem so tender and loving. It's funny and heartwarming and the double meaning of the bless at the end is such a gorgeous touch. I love this poem so much! Beautifull just simply stunningly beautiful! I love it and you! God...what a poem!
