My Need For You - Poem by Nateisha Francis
Your eyes are nothing but shiny trinkets in the dimness of dawn,
Yet they sing out your soul like a foreign mystifying song.
The moonlight is my only sense of direction to the softness of your lips,
I can feel your need for me by the tightness of your grip.
Your skin so soft, it brings goose bumps to my skin,
Your soul so pure, it brings out an unconditional love from me within.
Simple words from your Mouth have become a melody that I long to hear,
For each morning I hum your song, and without that tune I am justly in fear.
Your touch has become something that I no longer just crave,
But I feel I need,
And without your mesmerizing stroke I am afraid that I could not succeed.
My need for you is more then a psychological addiction,
But is more of an eternal affliction.
You are the one who consoles my soul,
Comforts my pain,
And as for how much I love you…
No words could ever explain.
