My Silent Friend



i feel happy looking
at picture of my dog
on my key chain; lovely
reminds me running with
him in rice paddies; rain
on weekends that i'm home

i remember him digging frogs
playing with them; harmless
loves kids around; petting
wonderful creature to have
very loyal waits for you
always happy and never ask
