My Wish
I wish, God will gift me
Some magical powers of immense strength
That I will use for mankind's benevolence.
Wielding magical powers
I may reach the poorest persons
And help them with food, clothes and shelter
I will heal the ailing men of their disease
And bring smiles to all human beings.
I will wipe out fear, hatred and violence
I will stop the war and bring an end to the arms race.
I will bring peace among people and nations
I will make the whole world a loving place.
I wish I could be a person like Gandhi and Buddha
Enlightening the human race with great noble thoughts.
I wish, my pen will lead me to such a place, where
People will adore my voice expressing love and care.

What a wonderful and meaningful wish. This poem was resonates with me. It had been my ardent wish and desire too since childhood. But even if we cannot be Gandhi and Buddha, in our own little way, we can always extend to.the.needy.and the oppressed
