I have eaten this fruit all my life.
When it's ripe, can be cut with a knife.
When's the last time you ate it?
Come on, celebrate it!
Go ahead; get your drum and your fife!
No, it's not a crab-apple, either. I would never have a crab-apple tree in my yard. If I have a fruit tree, it's got to be a fruit that I can eat! (Do crabs eat crab apples? I wonder how they came up with that name.)
It's not a mango. I don't think mangoes will grow here in Utah, at least not this far north. Perhaps down in Washington County, around Saint George...
My wink was hard to notice, it seems. Well, if the fruit isn't from Brazil, and has some red coloring way before it is ripe, then I will guess crab-apple (can't tell how big from the picture) .
What do you mean, it makes you tell lies, or destroys your short-term memory? I fail to see where in the world that comment is coming from. I told no lies. I did take this picture on 2 May in my own back yard. I didn't say this fruit was ripe NOW. Of course it isn't. It won't be ripe for a couple more months, at least.
I didn't think so either, but one looks flat, the way mango seeds are. I'm quite sure there is no fruit that would be that ripe in any part of Utah on May 3rd. Whatever it is, it makes you tell lies, or it destroys your short-term memory.; -)
I looks a whole lot like a mango. I have a son or 2 that like them. Either that or are elephants hiding in your cherry tree? :)
