G-iving help to the needy
I-s a command of the Lord;
N-either hand will hinder
A-iding those who can't afford.

L-ending a hand to the skint
A-lters the serious situation;
B-ecause of the real love
R-elief is brought to emotion.
A-rms that are wide open
D-eny not the destitute;
O-ctober fifth early morn,
R-escue shall bear fruit.

C-are and concern for poor
A-re truly pleasant to see;
L-et both our hands assist,
D-oing what can cause ecstasy.
E-ach palm will support,
R-ight or left doesn't matter;
O-pen at any clime,
N-either hand will hinder.
