Never Love The Same Poem by Josh Burnett

Never Love The Same

She said she never wanted anything to change.
She said she wanted to call out my name.
So I lay her down and helped her scream.
As we began our love was spilled,
And her deepest desires was fulfilled.
I started to dream on her,
And the sensation was so pure.

But wasted away we lie.
Torn apart by the pain.
Everything has changed,
And she will never love the same.

Broken hearts
We were torn apart
By the decaying smell of rust,
And the dying feel of our love.
I've never known such a touch.

In the night air
I showed her how my hands cared.
In the bed we built our secret lair.
Together our sighs shouted out a prayer
And I took her off to an unknown realm.
I knew exactly how she felt
As she began to melt.

But wasted away we lie.
Torn apart by the pain.
Everything has changed,
And she will never love the same.

Broken hearts
We were torn apart
By the decaying smell of rust,
And the dying feel of our love.
I've never known such a touch.
