Never Stop Believing Poem by louis rams

Never Stop Believing

Never stop believing

There's a man coming down the road seemingly bent beneath a load
A large green sack upon his back and dressed in red from head to toe
And hair and beard as white as the falling snow.
Laughing and singing with a HO-HO-HO.
He had a wide black belt with a golden buckle to hold up
His stomach when he chuckled.
He came up to me and said:
I know you expected me with my reindeer and sled
But they were tired and needed to rest their heads.
and I thought I'd give you a surprise and we could meet eye to eye
I know you're older and stopped believing in me, but I am here as you can see."
Then quicker than I could blink my eye he was gone from my side and on
The ground laid a big green sack with gifts all neatly stacked.
The spirit in all of us keeps Christmas alive because I seen him eye to eye.
Never stop believing
