New Parliament building In India dedicated To Her citizens. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

A new, state of the art, parliament
was inaugurated for the
welfare of our nation.
Land and labour of India,
expenditure from the
people's money,
architecture of the people
of India were utilised
for construction and decoration.

Does not belong to
any particular political party
or person.
Braggadocio by any individual
for the completion of
the magnificent structure
is only a vain pretension.

Whether a sengol was placed
after many rituals and paraphernalia,
Whether the outer appearance
looks like a national bird or
a national flower are all trivial for
the common man of this country.
A plane and a simple building
with adequate number of seats
would have been enough to
run the purpose of this temple
of democracy and also lovely.

The citizens of the nation,
both inside and abroad,
many people from all over the world,
are anxiously watching
the proceedings inside the
building.
If vilifications, unessential avoidable belittling, hugger-mugger,
fraudulent fulminations, megalomania,
unnecessary sloganeering
are not there any more,
if the honourable elected
representatives of the nation,
with a bonafide intention and
constructively co-operative mind discuss
the problems and challenges
we are facing so as to
improve the lot of the downtrodden
within the ambit of our
constitution and with proper etiquettes,
they would be happiest
human beings.
