Verse 1
Richie you're kind of cold at least that's what I've been told
I just let the emotions go at times they tend to overflow
All of this to show you how deep I tend to really go
Heavy burdens tends to be carried throughout my soul
Does that make me an animal? People treating others as if
They're criminals, Hating messages going subliminal
People acting as if they're never intentional
Stating it's all situational
It's getting harder to relax
Richie you're never relaxed
So many years that we could never get back
So many friends that I've lost over the years
And many more have disappeared
We lost touch people never could keep up
None these days tends to want to meet up
Verse 2
Sometimes I find myself in the hot seat
Watching all these wars by the Proxies
Hold up Richie you've lost me
Feeling all this pain and it got to me
As it resonates inside of my body
All of this as of late has me feeling
A little frosty it's constantly exhausting
The world's ice cold no central heating
Not one has yet realized the dangers
Yet people talking as if they have all
The answers feeling like Francis Scott Key
Watching the American Flag as it wavers
With the Stars and Stripes being mangled
People forgetting about our strength
And our vitality as we're unraveling as a
Society not sure what's truly happening
But we have to find our inner strength
Against all odds and overcome
America's not one to compete with
Our faith is far from depleted
Any hate go ahead and delete it
Richie, this poem is what was needed
Verse 3
Tell me if I were to bore it all would you feel more?
Tell me what or to whom do you feel for?
Did you ever wanted to be much more?
You can catch me kicking seashells by a seashore
Twisting and shouting like the 1960s Beatles
What would it take for all to be treated equal?
Just a poet threading up a couple of needles
So many telling me the rate of greatness is
Just not feasible the modern successes of
Today is just too unattainable
The way of life today just too unchangeable
People are just plain non-negotiable
Poets are hardly capable of a sit-down
Too many are too busy having melt-downs
Society is in a midst of a break-down
And workers are hardly getting a break now
All in the midst of strikes and a shake-down
Tell me, Who all can relate now?
Verse 4
So many are traveling to Cape Cod
Perhaps trying to find themselves an escape pod
All in the means to escape God
All of this talk of going nuclear
I'm not sure what's truly spookier
Blasting the world with a nuke
What happens if Russia did follow suit?
So many people now days are getting canceled
But their world affairs are hardly ever handled
Look back at history if you ever need a sample
You'll see examples by the ample
While people yelling 'Aye' by the handfuls
