* No Retreat, No Surrender - Poem by Esra Sloblock

The two are unworthy
False gods
Who dare not impact
On such solidarity.
The combatants,
The wrong-done-to
Shall prevail.

As I ponder the dilemma
I catch the scent of challenge.
And feel the fire.
The fire that consumes
And girds the loins

I may say more.
But not yet.

Suffice to say
To the
Power of two.

I know what is right.
It shall be so.

Watch this space...

As someone said below, intriguingly cryptic. Positive in message, yet challenging. I love the sort of poetry that sends your mind off spinning chaotically as it tries to grasp the message given.

Thank you for this lovely read,

Your words are cryptic, but nonetheless convey courage, determination and above all unconditional love for 'she who MUST be loved no matter what'. Concise, powerful penning. love, Allie xxxx (Report)Reply

Hey, you, love of my life. Yes. Nothing and nobody will get in our way. I won't let it. I can be a human bulldozer when I want to and believe me I am, er, dozing. Well I was when you wrote this, anyway. Tee hee. Sweetheart, I love you and come what may we will be just fine. I'd sooner sleep the rest of my life with you in the street without a pair of pants and a toothbrush than live as the richest princess in the world without you. I LOVE YOU. Get the idea? Always, forever. And I love the fact that you have very few clothes on at the moment, too. t xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Report)Reply

I am taking this to heart and praying that in the end 'Goodness WIll Prevail.' Yes, you are'' two and in numbers there is strength which leads to hope which leads to peace and a want to hang on in there, to not give up...even, and this is a big even, when ALL the odds are stacked against one or two or more...I wish I had a quarter of your strength and belief in goodness....never say never.....I haven't a clue what this is about but I 've taken it to heart, none the less with no intention of being selfish, just so much in need at this time...Thank you Ex, for this and the comfort gained from.........marci.xo (Report)Reply
