No Shepherds Here Poem by Matthew Holloway

No Shepherds Here

Rating: 5.0

Just be quiet
Follow the order
Obey the system
Check your soul at the door
Protest nothing without consent
Dilute life
No, no thank you
That is not for me
I prefer to shout
Let myself be heard
Silent men die
In a whimper
I'll die screaming
In a statement of intent
At least I'll know
I tried at least
Better to go down fighting
Than to be a sheep
