No Windows Poem by Darwin Henry Beuning

No Windows

Rating: 5.0

I look at the World
Outside my windows.

Sadness and pain in every land
Wars, conflicts, endless Death.

Here in the United States
Divorces, broken homes.

Our Interstates -
Highways of Death.

Drugs everywhere,
If unhappy, take a pill.

Our United States,
A divided nation.

Whether at work or play,
One cannot get away.

Windows Everywhere

Reading this poem again. I have a different solution. I seldom watch the news. Too depressing.

Hank, With all the stuff going on in our world, your poem is brilliant and gritty. Also a time to look inside our souls.

Hey, Hank, you didn't tell me you had posted a new poem! I like it! Our United States, not so united at the moment, but I don't think we're quite ready for another civil war!
