Not Stepping In The Same River Twice

Rating: 3.5

how odd when revisiting

the places that you knew

to find so unexpectedly

they don't remember you

as if in leaving

the space for you had closed

and others wandered in your place

and others wore your clothes

it's like no dent in water

a former person said

whenever you walk out the door

it's closing on your head

seamless and so silver the water shows no change

it's you that deep inside your mind

yourself must rearrange.
