Not To Argue Needlessly Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Not To Argue Needlessly

You don't like the tone of my voice.
Or the way in which it is used?
That's unfortunate.
Not for me.
But for you.
Since this is my voice.

You may choose to ignore it.
That's up to you.
You've been planted and fix like a brick wall.
And using my voice to call over it,
I don't have to do at all.

All I have to do to remove you,
Is to discuss this with my Father.
And not a voice between us do we share,
To get what appears to be an obstacle...
Off my path!

And this 'voice' you hear?
He has been given to me,
To deliver and clarify a message.
Not to argue needlessly.
He and I both know that is pointless.
Eventually you will get the message.

Have a good day!
