Nothing Left To Doubt Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Nothing Left To Doubt

If someone admits,
To being a fool.
A dunce, a jerk and an idiot.
How and why,
Has someone like this...
Can become protected and defended,
By loyalists giving support to give.
As if what is obvious,
They know is a purpose to distract.
Although they will also claim,
The 'act' has been overdone.
And their attempts to convince,
Someone like this...
To not reveal,
Too much that is 'assumed'...
To be proof and evidence of one unfit.
That leaves nothing left to doubt.
About one's mental instability.

"We protest,
What has been suggested.
We know for a fact this act performed,
Is a way to attract...
The many who believe,
They have not been properly represented.
And now there is someone,
They can depend upon.
Without prolonged debate.
Done to make attempts,
To delude and deny realty.
Or who we are as a people."
