Nothing Ordinary Poem by Glen Kappy

Nothing Ordinary

from 'While Passing Through'/Summer

Lighting by the sun
no doubt about it—
this tree is a star!

*

Landscape river rocks
their shadows in morning light—
any ol' stones?

I believe you, Glen. Love the way you notice the extraordinary in the ordinary.

thanks, laurie. many mornings walking early around a nearby park i have for moments left my head and glimpsed, lit by the sun, these wonderful beings we call trees. i'm also reminded of advice my wife got about taking pictures, how the light is more important than the subject matter. and of course, how we look in the light of God's love, God who knows we are dust, who has compassion on us as a parent...- wonderfully put in ps 103. -glen

Lighting by the sun no doubt about it— this tree is a star! ... great theme. Concise but beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
