Numb Poem by Asavri Dhillon

Numb

She cursed her tongue then
For not being able to express
Her feelings.
She curses her heart now
For not being able to express
Anything.
And, the brain curses the heart and soul
For poisoning it.

It is natural that words fail us to express love, when anxious about the response of the other person. But in true love, words are not needed. Words have no role here. It is equally true that lost love poisons heart and soul like nothing else. A perennial source of agony. A haunting experience
