Many a tall landmark, a trunk line road,
Named everywhere are to revere him,
But who truly takes to his creed and code?
‘Pon talking high, how many rise like cream?
‘Pon worshipping him with paeans of praise,
Pray, how many walk, steps tuned to his goal?
Prayers are said, words vouched on his birthdays.
How many heed to them with heart and soul?
Many a march, many a clockwork walk,
We tread in his name, it is wasted labour,
If we walk— walk his ways like sheep in flock—
That we be seen, snapped for a boastful blabber!
Had his ways been vibrant visions in us,
His values vouched would have been virtuous.

Were his ways, visions vibrant still in us/The values we vouch would be virtuous........precious expression! A great tribute to father of our nation! Excellent work!
Thank you Dr Swain for encouraging feedback, This poem had been on PH I think since 2014. Then I deleted it, changed the title, made a few changes, and within minutes there's feedback from two. I can't understand this.
