God's mercy and light we get frequently. New Year is very special to all of us and we feel its importance very much. This is very thoughtful poem beautifully penned. A perfect New Year poem is selected as the poem of the day...10

Though simple to point out the tragic consequences of Britannia's global imperialistic accomplishments upon those who received the blessings of subjugation and colonization, this piece is an intriguing and enlightening portal into the ethnocentric mindset that not only justified, but moreover compelled the expansion of Britannia's dominion over the ''wild savagery'' of the realms beyond the British shores. Also a glimpse back into the age in which he who ruled the waves ruled the world.

TWO Britannai then was superstrong, but nowadays? Britannia is no more and England is hiding for the European Mighty Countries. This poem sounds like an obedient child who loves his mother and is loyal to her laws and rules, no matter right or wrong. Yet this poem is a thought provoking one. CONGRATS with Modern Poem of The Day..

ONE This poem is dated, with which I mean that we all can read WHEN this poem had its glorious period, and that is WHEN BRITANNIA ruled the waves. Canada is also a part of this BRTW (Britannia Rules The Waves) .

A nice poetic work but it smacks of imperialist designs which prompted Britain to colonise half the world during those days. Thanks. Shine, Britannia, rise and shine! To bless mankind the task be thine. And ruin all intruding slaves.
