Ode To Victor Hugo (40) 'the Miserable' love Is Life Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

Ode To Victor Hugo (40) 'the Miserable' love Is Life

You need nothing in life but a gentle embrace
From a smiling shining glittering face
From beloved, for love is a portion
of the soul itself, hovering in space
To love or to be loved, that's enough
Ask nothing furher, no glory, no grace
No pearl, no gold, no lots of money
For life is the flower for which love is the honey.
Even love's Separation has its own blessings
Lovers cheat-absence so to be called in one phrase
by means of sending each other the story of birds,
the laughter of children, the scent of flowers,
That is why Love is the only future that God offers
There is room in the heart for all affections, the searing scars,
as there is room in Heaven for all the shimmering stars.
Ask nothing further in Life, for there is no other pearl
to be found in the dark folds of life
Love is the choice to live with or without a wife
It is for the same nature as the celescial breathing
For loving is, as Victor Hugo said, the half of believing!
