Old...Yet Young
To regress to a time when...
Technology moved slower:
To wake up to Mother Nature
A rooster's crow (internal clock)
And watch the sun slowly rising...
Meditating on all that's Life
Awakened from such peaceful rest
Refreshed and now motivated
To walk through my quieted mind
For exercises of the day
Bathed in invigorating sun
My old body feels no pain
The mind is still young from God's love
Ready to conquer challenges

My mind Wandered, thinking I was reading Wordsworth. This is brilliant, Richard!
2) cont'd: M.J., as I'm revisiting I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud, I'm reading Wordsworth's revised version as well. I like it better, especially with the addition of another stanza between the first and second ones.
Fascinating, and very wonderful, how some poems and songs let our minds drift to the works of other poets. M.J., I've experienced some incredible journeys of the mind through both poetry and music.

A beautiful depiction of a good and contended life. Very inspiring!
One of the greatest rewards of writing poetry is the inspiration that it gives to the reader. So many thanks, Rose Marie!
