On A Full Moon Night Poem by Hazel Durham

On A Full Moon Night

Rating: 5.0

The day's light
Is replaced
By the wandering, carefree night,
As it charges with energy of it's own inner light,
Like a dark dashing knight,
In shining armour,

Like the full moon's silvery attire,
As it seems to lure.
A bottle of the best champagne
Pop's and was ready to pour,
To celebrate the arrival of my baby girl,
On the eight of April,

Born so beautiful like a shining pearl
With your melting chocolate eyes,
Skin aglow,
As nearby the river Liffey flows,
Like cascading through your veins,
The city of Dublin is your constant love affair,

With your dark brown mane,
Glinting golden strands of hair,
Catching the light
Blowing in an easterly breeze,
On a full moon night,
As with your determined drive you arrive,

With iconic style,
Ambition to strive to go that extra mile,
My girl blooming
Into a beautiful woman,
With panache like an exotic fan,
Elegant,

With mystique and cool charm,
You warm,
To people and places,
Joy exudes in abundance,
With romance,
As with perfect rhythm you dance,

To your own tune
Watching over you is the mystique and lure
Of the powerful full moon.

Beauty of love, walking in a moonlit night, flying like night birds towards the moon. A lovely poem...........10
