On Activism Poem by Masha Danevasha

On Activism

Rating: 2.8

So you don’t like guns
And want to free Tibet
Impeach the Texan bozo
And outlaw red meat
End the war, end the world
Ban fur, spread the WORD

Screaming and ranting
Won’t change my mind
Neither will insults
Experience might
So quit stomping and huffing
And beating your chest
Get out of my face
Give your voice cords a rest
Rabid urgings mean nothing...
To a rational mind
Wisdom comes quietly
And it takes time

Ah, but aren't you contradicting yourself just by writing this poem? ! Ok, you knew it would get a reaction out of me, but I'm here to read poetry, and so all I can say is that this is a well written and enjoyable read. Ignore the idiot who voted 1 - it happens to all of us. Hugs Anna xxx
