Warm wind bearing essences
Of new leaves begins to blow
Across the land and water
It is cool in the early morning
Warm in the noon and again
Cool as night draws near

It is beginning of March and
Time for festival of colors to
Celebrate in this holy land
For the wild flowers to play
For the dew drops to vanish on
The bed of grass and sand

Sitting in the shed of leaves
Through the noon the cuckoo
Sing many a sweet melody
As to celebrate the arrival of
Spring after the frosty winter
The earth is getting ready
