On My Brother Len's 65th Birthday Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

On My Brother Len's 65th Birthday

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes, you're a thorn in my heart
For the stupid things you say
But I continue to laugh at them
Peeing my pants
You're a best friend
And my kin
I love you
Only if I could hold you
Once more
I would never let you
Slip from my arms

Probably Len is your elder brother. A wonderful birthday tribute....loved it.

I love the way you juxtapose sadness with happiness and love. And the ambiguity of the last half of your poem. A beautifully heartfelt tribute to your brother! As always, excellent work, LeeAnn!
