On The Frontier Poem by Luo Zhihai

On The Frontier

★ On the Frontier

☆ Poetry by Zheng Wo (? -? , Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

Whom do I ask the way to while being away from home?
Sometimes gesticulating, sometimes conversing on the road
At last the guest unwittingly knew his white head
Near autumn the mountain leaves have turned red
Shadow of the wild goose delivering the letter before the tent
Sound of the old man losing a horse in the sun
Sooner or later, spurring the horse to go back to South
Coats and quilts, style and features, in Han town

☆ 郑渥 诗

出门何处问西东
指画翻为语论同
到此客头潜觉白
未秋山叶已飘红
帐前影落传书雁
日下声交失马翁
早晚回鞭复南去
大衣高盖汉乡风
