Once There Was A Man Poem by zarina binda

Once There Was A Man

once upon a time
there was a man inventing rhyme.
a rhyming rythm that can't be found
in a book a letter or in the ground.

it was song soft but clear
putting a smile on faces so severe.
this song was sung from mouth to mouth
from the northern borders to deep in the south.

it changed its form and rythm too often.
and the original words started to soften.
until one day in the middle of may,
the words had comlpletely faded away.

however the song is still in the heart.
whispering.
of mountains, lovers, and ships that depart.

his song is sung when one leaves
when one is happy or when one grieves
this illusive song that sang of life
and love found in ones wife.

the words are a mistery to me.
but the message,
runs completely free.
