One Bite Poem by Kewayne Wadley

One Bite

sweeter still.
I nibble on your lips
after a shared glance.
plump. sweet.
the day grows hot.
my fingers tamed
in the vine of your hair.
careful not to pull or tug.
summer just around the corner.
spring almost over.
my lips rinsed clean in the juice
from your luscious lips.
after a moment. after an hour.
sweeter still.
your lips cool to the touch.
mingling with the juice of mine.
your lips. like a strawberry, plant 200 seeds
pressed against my lips, ready to be kissed.
with just one bite
