★ One Sentence

☆ Poetry by Wen Yiduo (1899-1946, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

It’s a disaster to say one sentence
It can fire up with one sentence
Although in five thousand years no one says out
Can you guess the silence of the volcano?
Perhaps it's bewitched suddenly
There is a thunderbolt in the sky suddenly
Burst out:
'China, ours! '

Today how do I say the sentence?
You could not believe the iron tree in blossom
But you must listen to one sentence:
Until the volcano unable to bear the silence
Don't tremble, tongue, stomp and lie
Until there is a thunderbolt in the sky
Burst out:
'China, ours! '
