Orient Knight Anole - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Orient Knight Anole - Lincoln Park Zoo

I am an anole and do
Be the Oriente knight kind,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
A type of lizard one can find
In the wild in the Cuba isle.
We like to hang out in the trees,
Tongue zapping bugs in skillful style.
Sometimes we drop if there's a freeze.
On scales of inches, up to eight.
Most of my body scales are green
On a bod about two ounce weight.
In Reptile House I do be seen.

If I am startled that you're there,
I maybe will puff up with air.
