Our Birth Never Defines Us Poem by Bipasha Dutt

Our Birth Never Defines Us

Rating: 4.8

Though the lotus shares a bond
With the muddy and murky pond,

Yet lotus is holy and precious,
As our birth never defines us.

What we make out of ourselves is vital.
Only that aspect is important and crucial.

Excellent....you always think wide and broad and high and deep to present your thoughts just in short poems and that is what I like the most in you..I always like short poems...thank you Bipasha for this great work

Finest of wisdom poured in poetic form. We can learn so much from Nature. Thank you for sharing Bipasha, and thanks again for reading my poem Grandma’s advice and for your comment.

Well said. Birth does not and should not define us. The poem carries a profound message for those with obscurantist mentality. Thanks for this meaningful poem. I quote: What we make out of ourselves is vital. Only that aspect is important and crucial.
