Our Sunny Place Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Our Sunny Place

Rating: 4.5

Walking in the sunshine's glow,
Upon the beach of golden sand,
Thinking back to years ago,
We were together hand in hand.

Sounds of laughter fill the air,
It takes me back to holidays,
So many times we walked right here,
I miss those times in many ways.

Those old deckchairs,
Those fairground rides,
The ice cream and the candy floss,
You made up my day, with kindness and smiles
Those days i never have forgot.

Walking back i hear the sounds
Those distant echoes of the past,
The music from the fairground rides,
Fills the air with memories to last.
