Pain Poem by Gerald Opio

Pain

Rating: 5.0

An emotion so intense
Engendering melancholic feels
Ensnaring into hopelessness
Innately wailing and weeping
Praying for the open wounds
To heal as time goes

Pain a factor part and parcel of life
Either you live with it
Or bear it
As it always takes time to pass
Whence forth leaving scars unimaginable
Not worth sharing

But in all its consequences
Life lessons it teaches
Invigorating our resilience
And honing endurance
That enables us maneuver
Through life's trials and tribulations
