While walking in the park I heard a bell.

There was a bird singing in the shade.

A bird I heard walking in the shade while
There in the park was a bell singing.

Looking at Magnolia flowers on the tree,
Looking at Magnolia flowers on the tree,
I stopped further on passing a cat near the well.

Further on a cat stopped near the Magnolia tree,
I passing looking at flowers on the well.

Such was my delight when seeing you,
Such was my delight when seeing you,
I knew a day full of joy.
I knew a day full of joy.
Full of seeing delight was my day,
When such a you, joy I knew.

When I was walking passing a well,
looking at day flowers in the shade,
Such delight full Magnolia, I heard;
Knew the joy of a bird on a tree,
The bell in the park, further on a cat.
Stopped there was I
While seeing you near singing my.

* The paradelle is a French fixed form first appearing in the 11th century. It is a poem of four six-line stanzas in which the first and second lines, as well as the third and fourth lines of the first three stanzas, must be identical. The fifth and sixth lines, which traditionally resolve these stanzas, must use all the words from the preceding lines and only those words. Similarly, the final stanza must use every word from all the preceding stanzas and only those words.
