Part Two - Third Day Poem by louis rams

Part Two - Third Day

He appeared to ten disciples and yet the door was locked
And no sound or even a knock.
Suddenly JESUS stood in their midst and said to them
'" may you have peace "
They was terrified thinking it was a ghost, when he asked
" why are you troubled and doubts come into your heart "?
Because a spirit does not have flesh and bones and showed
Them his hands and feet, and they was consumed with joy.
As he said: do you have something to eat?
They handed him a piece of broiled fish which he put on his dish.
He then opened up their minds to the meaning of the scriptures
"it is written that the CHRIST would suffer and rise from the dead
On the third day and on the basis of his name repentance for
Forgiveness of sins would be preached in all the nations.
Thomas was not with them when he came.
When they exclaimed " we have seen the LORD " Thomas said:
Unless I see in his hands the print of the nail and stick my hand
Into his side - I will certainly not believe!
Eight days later he stood in front of the entire group and said:
" may you have peace " then he said to Thomas
Put your finger here and see my hands, and take your hand
And stick it into my side.
" happy are those who do not see and yet believe "
He was seen by them through forty days and telling them
The things about the kingdom of GOD.
(is it coincidence that they saw him for forty days
And NOAH was on the ark for the same amount of days?)
