Past The Midnight Hour... Poem by Aphrodite Anastasia Menegaki

Past The Midnight Hour...

Rating: 5.0

It's 3: 52
And I'm thinking of you
Your laugh, your smile and your gaze
I'm thinking of you
Has it been years or merely days?

It's 3: 52
And it's because of you
That I have longed your voice
Haha, who ever even knew
That you wouldn't give me a choice?

You know all of it is true
Can't stop thinking of you
Warm and sweet like cocoa
Wild and free, stubborn, too
You have my mind saying Oh no...

But my heart loves you
And what she wants she'll do
Under the skies of the night
With their stars and deep blue
And the songs of the moonlight

It's 3: 52
And I think I fell for you
But even if I love you so
You'll hurt me, hurt like tattoo
Oh well, this much I know

It's now almost dawn
And the pale moon nearly gone
But I still catch your cologne
The amber, citrus and fruits I've known
I'm with you again; I'm not alone
